DRUMS & TEQUILA ROADSHOW |
 |
After graduating from Trinity College of Music, I began a professional career playing and teaching in London and Kent. My playing experience has been as varied as West-End musicals and Pop artists to Opera, Ballet and Symphony Orchestras. A more unusual sessions was working for the Royal National Theatre, playing and "acting" on stage at the Olivier Theatre, remembering lines was a nightmare. I currently work as a full time Percussion teacher in Cornwall and I am also a percussion examiner for Trinity Guildhall Exams. In 2001 I joined the highly successful Performing Arts Music dept at Cornwall College, where I now lecture on both the BTEC and A Level Music courses.

Originally from Essex, I began playing the guitar (and Bass) at the age of 11. I joined my first band at the age of 14. Since then I have played in bands covering various styles including rock, indie and so called ‘brit pop’. LEAD VOCALS & BAND MANAGER |
 |
Born and educated in Falmouth, I have always had a passion for music and especially singing. Throughout school I was always in the school and church choir. My first band was when I was 14 years old and played rhythm guitar. After leaving school I played bass, keyboard and sang backing vocals in an original 80’s band gigging throughout the southwest. During the 90’s I played bass guitar for a covers band and again sang backing vocals. During the 10 years this band was together, I knew I wanted to sing more than backing vocals, but unfortunately never had the opportunity. I am privileged that the members of Tequila Showband have given me that opportunity. For this I shall remain eternally grateful. I am looking forward to a great future with Cornwall’s premier show band.

KEITH |
SAXOPHONE |
My first experience with music was playing brass instruments with the British Railway Band in Exeter at the early age of eight. I converted to reed instruments when I was forty, learning the clarinet and the saxophone. Very quickly, I reached grade 8 in both disciplines. I have played reeds in many musical productions such as Showstoppers, Carousel and Wil Rogers Follies to name a few.

TRUMPET |
 |
I first became interested in music at the age of 9 when I joined Hayle Town Junior Band. After a surprisingly short time, I gained position with the Senior Band, where I played for nearly 15 years. As a brass player, I felt the need to expand from Brass Bands so I began to study the Trumpet. As a Trumpet player, I gained my Grade 8 examination and Advanced Certificate. I now teach Brass instruments as a Peripatetic to pupils all around the South West through Cornwall County Music Service. I am also involved in many musicals such as Annie, Fame and West Side Story, to name but a few.

TROMBONE |
|
I have been playing a brass instrument since I was 11 years of age, developing my skills initially in the Brass Band world, starting on baritone and moving myself to trombone at the age of 23. I played for many of the top Cornish brass bands over that time and performed all over the UK in concerts and contests as diverse as Gwennap Pit in Cornwall to the Albert Hall in London. In 1980 I joined a mid Cornwall based Community Wind Band to develop my playing and add another "string" to my bow. During this time the band extensively toured Germany. I have also performed at the Criterion Theatre in London on a West End musical. Operatic shows, Choral Societies, Theatre Companies, Pantomimes have also played a part in my varied musical life. I am proud to be associated with the City of Truro Wind Orchestra for which I am a founding member.
